Andrew is the Executive Director at Community Futures Northwest Alberta, where he plays a pivotal leadership role in driving regional progress. Since relocating to Northwest Alberta in 2013, Andrew has dedicated the past decade to advancing economic and community development throughout the region. His commitment is evident in his hands-on approach to supporting local entrepreneurs and small business owners, offering guidance tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities faced within Northwest Alberta.
Andrew is passionate about working directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners, helping them to grow and launch innovative services and products that strengthen the local economy. He engages closely with clients at every stage of their business journey, from initial concept and business planning to securing financing. By fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, Andrew empowers individuals to achieve their business objectives and contribute meaningfully to the region’s economic vitality.
With a robust background in financial resources, Andrew assists clients in executing on business concepts and ensuring that business owners can access resources in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and connect with relevant community partners, government programs, and local investors.
Beyond his direct work with Community Futures, Andrew also serves on the board of Innovate Northwest, a regional innovation network committed to fostering creativity and business growth. In this capacity, he collaborates with diverse stakeholders to advance innovation initiatives, champion technology adoption, and create a supportive ecosystem for start-ups and established enterprises alike.

Diane MacLeod is proud to call High Level her lifelong home. For the past 11 years, she has been an integral part of the Community Futures Northwest Alberta team, working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that everything operates smoothly. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for administrative work, Diane thrives on keeping things organized and efficient. As an early riser, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially with her dogs, and truly embraces the beauty of winter in Northwest Alberta. Having raised her family in the community, Diane feels deeply connected to the region and remains committed to supporting its ongoing success.

Arlene is our Office Manager and Finance Officer at Community Futures Northwest Alberta, and has dedicated over 20 years to the organization. A lifelong resident of the area, Arlene brings an abundance of local knowledge and a deep commitment to the communities we serve. As a retail business owner on Main Street and the proud mother of two successful sons, she combines real-world experience with strong organizational skills. Known for her detail-oriented approach and problem-solving abilities, Arlene ensures our operations run smoothly and efficiently. She loves travelling, crafting, and gardening, and her dedication shines through in everything she does, from supporting clients to managing our finances.
